Shaping a greener, affordable and limitless connectivity
Greenerwave is a deeptech company with operations in Paris, Toulouse, and Sophia Antipolis. Pioneer in next-generation SATCOM user terminals, it leverages a unique expertise in electromagnetic wave control.
At the core of its innovation are reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS), combined with advanced physics-inspired algorithms that enable efficient, dynamic, real-time steering of signal-carrying waves. This novel approach allows the company to design electronically steerable antennas that deliver high-performance connectivity while reducing energy consumption and reliance on semiconductors compared with conventional solutions.
Multi-orbit and cost-effective, Greenerwave’s SATCOM terminals address the growing demand for secure, sovereign, and resilient connectivity by combining flexibility, efficiency, technological agnosticism, and reliability.
Beyond SATCOM, the company also applies its unique expertise to other strategic sectors, driving innovation in telecommunications and sensing.

Our story
Founded in 2015 by CNRS researcher Geoffroy Lerosey and Mathias Fink, professor at ESPCI Paris, to promote their pioneering research into shaping electromagnetic waves using smart materials and deep-physics algorithms.
In 2012, they took the concept of reconfigurable smart surfaces from the field of optics to that of telecommunications, with their first proof-of-concept of an intelligent indoor environment enhanced by a wavefront shaping approach. Since this first technological achievement, Greenerwave has continued its journey in the wireless communications industry.
Using intelligent reconfigurable materials based on cost-effective and off-the-shelf electronic components, and proprietary physical algorithms, Greenerwave shifts complexity from hardware to software.
The products developed are cost-effective and low consumption, which explains the growing interest of major industry players.
Our roots
Greenerwave’s academic roots are deeply tied to Institut Langevin, a joint institut of ESPCI Paris (École Supérieure de Physique et de Chimie Industrielles) and CNRS.
As a renowned center of excellence in wave physics and applied science, the Institut Langevin, co-founded by Mathias Fink (co-founder of Greenerwave), has been instrumental in advancing breakthrough concepts such as time-reversal and wavefront control using metasurfaces.
These foundational ideas underpin many of Greenerwave’s innovative technologies. Similarly, the ESPCI Paris fosters a multidisciplinary research culture and a strong emphasis on technology transfer from laboratory to industry. With many of Greenerwave’s team members being alumni of this prestigious institution, the company draws on a deep well of academic expertise. These strong ties to leading research institutions provide Greenerwave with a solid scientific foundation, enabling it to develop groundbreaking solutions for controlling electromagnetic waves.

Greenerwave’s Quality Management System is certified according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard, for its Research, development, and design of radio frequency products and solutions for telecommunications, imaging, and detection.
