Greenerwave at the International Space Summit in Paris
“Europe must be among the world’s leading space powers, particularly in communications and AI.”
This was the ambition highlighted this week by Emmanuel Macron at the first International Space Summit, held at the Grand Palais in Paris.
At Greenerwave, we believe that achieving this ambition also means building Europe’s own technologies for satellite communications.
This week, we were pleased to take part in this gathering, which brought together leading international space stakeholders, from public institutions to industry and research, around major challenges such as cooperation, innovation and sovereignty.
These challenges strongly resonate with our mission: developing next-generation antennas to make satellite communications more energy-efficient, agile and sovereign. 💡
Emmanuel Macron also emphasized the role of public procurement in strengthening Europe’s industrial ecosystem and supporting European players. This commitment is taking concrete shape through the Caméléon framework contract, recently awarded by DGA – Direction générale de l’armement to Greenerwave and its partners Airbus Defence and Space and Thales to develop a new generation of satellite communication terminals for the armed forces.
🇪🇺 Europe has an exceptional space ecosystem. The challenge now is to turn this strength into technological leadership.
